"Our passion for pets extends well beyond the boundaries of pet food and nutrition and the team at Purina, just like Canine Partner's puppy walkers, their trainers, their occupational therapists, their fundraising team, their regional support teams, and their volunteers, share a passion for this charity and for the work that they do. We all know, because research has shown us, about the value of the human-animal bond and the potential therapeutic benefits".

To date eight Zurich Challenges have taken place for Canine Partners, carried out by teams of volunteer staff who fundraise to generate funds for the materials and either carry out the work in their own time or in time allocated by the Company. As recognition of their ongoing support a member of the Zurich volunteer team was presented to HRH The Duke of Gloucester at the official opening of our Heyshott site in June 2005.
In addition to grants and volunteer challenges, Zurich has also helped Canine Partners by providing a several skillshare opportunities. A number of our staff, volunteers and disabled Partners have received Presentation Skills and HR training from Zurich staff, this has been invaluable not only from a cost saving but from through receiving the latest skills in a business environment.
